Keep Your Family Safe - Test Your Smoke Alarms!
What better way to start our C&G blog than to discuss an important safety topic! Here are some valuable tips on how to keep your family safe in the event of a fire.
Do you have an appropriate number of smoke alarms installed in your home? Are they installed in the correct, recommended locations? When is the last time you tested them?
Working smoke alarms keep your family safe by providing an early warning to get out of your home safely if there is a fire. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends installing smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of the home. You can also replace your older smoke alarms with new, technologically advanced models that can help reduce false alarms.
